On Monday, November 15, five Hanson students traveled to South Dakota State University in Brookings to compete in the Region 5 Oral Interpretation Contest.
Students competing were: Kennedy Bender and Erin Dewald, Duet category; Miranda Hanson, Serious category; Emalea Nelson, Humorous category; and Jaycee Heezen, Poetry category.
Heezen was the lone student to advance to the State Oral Interpretation Festival at Huron High School on December 3-4.
