Twenty Hanson junior high choir and band students traveled to Platte on Tuesday, November 16, to take part in the Region 5 JH Music Festival.
Twenty area schools participated in the festival with 142 in the chorus and 113 in the band.
Students were nominated to participate in the festival based on their character, leadership and interest in music.
The students practiced putting the music together and then performed at a concert in the afternoon.
Students that represented Hanson at the festival were: BAND: Max Baker (trumpet); Brooke Endorf (alto sax); Carter Endorf (alto sax); Logan Kahler (trumpet); Robbie Nelson (trumpet); Lily Bahmuller (trumpet); Jett Jager (trombone); Austin Jager (trombone); Aiden Hoffman (trombone); Jozlynn Tegethoff (clarinet); Carson Kampshoff (baritone); CHOIR: Vincent Olson, Carson Nicholson, Trent Kayser, Jayden Hofer, Addy Mentele, Taryn Holm, Myah Stueven, Paige Kayser, and Jacey Schoenrock.
