The Hanson junior high boys basketball team traveled to Viborg to take on the Viborg-Hurley Cougars on Thursday, November 18.
The seventh grade narrowly defeated the Cougars, 37-36. Leading the team in scoring was Radek Jarding with 10 points followed by Westin Switzer with nine. Pierce Kayser contributed eight points while Layton Popp had six. Jett Jager added four points.
The seventh grade record moved to 2-1.
The eighth grade lost to the Cougars, 49-12. Top scorer for the team was Cole Dewald with seven points. Sutton Squires and Brayden Bahmuller added two points apiece while Conner Endorf had one point.
The eighth grade record stands at 4-3.
The JH boys basketball team will be in Menno on Monday, November 22, to play the Wolves.
