The Hanson junior high girls basketball team hosted the Howard Tigers on Tuesday, November 23.
The seventh grade fell to the Tigers, 14-10. Top scorer for the team was Ava Doyle with five points. Jozlynn Tegethoff and Lacey Easton chipped in two points each. Audrina Waldera had one point.
The seventh grade record stands at 2-3.
The eighth grade was victorious over the Tigers, 28-24. Taziah Hawkins led all players with 11 points. Kendra Endorg put up eight points while Paige Kayser had six. Dana Degen added three points.
With the win, the eighth grade record improved to 7-1.
The young Beaverettes travel to Irene on Tuesday to play Irene-Wakonda.
