On Tuesday, November 30, the Hanson seventh grade girls and boys basketball teams left Irene satisfied with wins.
The seventh grade girls dominated the Irene-Wakonda eighth grade girls, winning 29-4. Hannah Easton led the group with eight points. Jacey Schoenrock scored six points while Jozlynn Tegethoff and Lacey Easton added four points apiece. Ava Doyle chipped in three points. Alivia Bender, Audrina Waldera, and Isabel Kayser contributed two points each.
The seventh grade girl’s record moved to 3-3.
The seventh grade boys battled I-W in a close game, but came out on top, 28-20. Radek Jarding and Westin Switzer cashed in seven points each. Jett Jager contributed five points while Layton Popp followed with four points. Pierce Kayser and Carson Kampshoff added two points to the team’s victory while Jason Porth finished with one point.
The seventh grade boy’s record improved to 5-1.
