Hanson School District

On Saturday, October 21, Hanson senior, Eliza Oltmanns, ran in the State Cross Country Meet held at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls.

Oltmanns ran her best race.  She finished in 85th place with a time of 21:28.21.

“This whole season, my team and I have been working so hard and I would not have been able go to state without them by my side. I am truly grateful for the way my senior season turned out and I will miss this group of people next year,” commented E. Oltmanns.

This was the fourth state appearance for Oltmanns.  Previously, she qualified her eighth, ninth and eleventh grade years.

Hanson cross country coach Stacy Oltmanns stated, “Eliza may have been our only runner on Saturday, but the whole team contributed to her success.  This is a special group of individuals who motivate and support one another.”

“As both a coach and a mom, it was a fulfilling experience to witness Eliza end her cross country journey at the state meet,” stated Coach Oltmanns.

Congratulations Eliza on a great season!
