The Hanson cross country team traveled to Salem to compete in the McCook Central/Montrose Invitational on Tuesday, August 31.

In the varsity division, four girls placed in the top 30.  Eighth grader, Taziah Hawkins, placed highest with a 15th place finish (23:33.01) followed by Alyssa Moschell in 17th place (23:38.23). Others placing were Eliza Oltmanns in 20th place (23:49.01) and Reese Marek in 28th place (24:04.42).

The girl’s varsity team placed third overall.

In the varsity boy’s division, Carson Ferry placed highest in 38th place (21:38.77). Anthony Geist finished in 47th place (21:56.23) followed by Will Jarding in 63rd place (23:59.32).

 In the junior varsity boy’s division, the only Hanson runner was Jason Porth who crossed the finish line in 26th place (19:12.63).
