The Hanson middle school volleyball team traveled to Parkston on Thursday, September 2, to take on the Lady Trojans.

In the seventh grade match, Hanson lost the first set, 10-25, but won the second set, 25-21. Ava Doyle went six-for-seven serving with three aces. Jozlynn Tegethoff served five-for-six with one ace. Sawyer Hoffmann and Lily Bahmuller had one ace apiece.

The team finished the game with a serving percentage of 76% (26/34).

The seventh grade record is 1-0-1.

In the eighth grade match, the volleyball team defeated Parkston two sets to one. Set scores were: 21-25, 25-23, and 15-10. Dana Degen served nine-for-10 with four aces. Kendra Endorf went five-for-seven on serves with four aces. Brooke Endorf had one ace and served nine-for-11. Taziah Hawkins served seven-for-11 and had two aces followed by Marah Doyle who went  seven-for-11 in serving with one ace.

Overall, the team had a serving percentage of 78% (47/60).

The eighth grade record improved to 2-0.
