The middle school volleyball team traveled to Emery for the Cornbelt Conference Tournament on Saturday, September 11.

Hanson defeated Canistota in the first match. The Beaverettes swung hard through both of the sets with the scores of 25-10, and 25-14. The Beaverettes lost to Bridgewater-Emery in the second match. Hanson won the first set 25-18, but fell the second and third sets with scores of 21-25 and 11-15.   In their final match, Hanson faced a tough opponent, the Howard Tigers. The young Beaverettes lost both sets, 21-25 and 17-25.

The Beaverettes finished fourth overall in the tournament.

The MS volleyball team concluded the tournament 118-of-141 (84%) for team serving.  Marah Doyle led the team in serving with 29-of-34 and contributed six aces. Taziah Hawkins served 22-of-29 and had 10 aces. Others contributing were Brooke Endorf, four aces; Paige Endorf two aces; Taryn Holm, one ace;  Dana Degen, one ace; Claire Bridge, one; and Kendra Endorf one ace.

The middle school record moved to 4-2-1.
