On Tuesday, September 14, the Hanson middle school volleyball team hosted the Canistota Hawks. All three teams resulted in a tie with the Hawks.

 In the sixth grade match, Hanson won the first set, 15-13, but lost the second set, 12-15. Ava Arend went seven-for-eight serving with three aces. Tacey Weber served four-of-five and had one ace.  Annalynn Mentele served two-for-four with one ace.

 As a team, the sixth grade served 16-for-27 (59%). Their record moved to 0-0-2. 

In the seventh grade match, Hanson won the first set, 26-24, but lost the second set, 23-25. Jozlynn Tegethoff went nine-for-11 in serving with one ace. Audrina Waldera had four aces and served seven-for-10. Ava Doyle served six-for-eight with one ace. 

The seventh grade team went 73% for serving (36/49). Their record changed to 3-0-2.

For the eighth grade match, Hanson fell in the first set, 15-25, but won the second set, 25-20. Paige Kayser led the team in serving with seven-for-eight serves and two aces. Brooke Endorf went six-for-seven with two aces. Dana Degen served six-for-six followed by Kendra Endorf with five-for-five for serves.

Together, the eighth grade team went 31-for-39 on serving (79%). Their record is 4-2-2.
