The Hanson varsity volleyball team traveled to Sioux Falls on Saturday, September 25, to play in the Sanford Pentagon Volleyball Tournament.

The ladies faced Howard in their first match and were defeated in two sets, 20-25 and 20-25.  Leading the team in kills was Kate Haiar with four followed by Kiana Berg with three.  Avery Moschell, Jalyn Kampshoff and Erin Dewald marked one ace apiece in the match.  Kampshoff had 11 successful set assists.

Defensively, Taylor Schroeder tallied eight digs while Annalyse Weber had seven.  Kampshoff added five digs.  Haiar and Berg marked one block each.

Oldham-Ramona-Rutland beat the Beaverettes in the second match.  Set scores were: 25-22, 15-25 and 15-25.  Haiar led the team in kills with five followed by Weber and Berg with four apiece.  Dewald had four aces in the match.  Kampshoff marked 14 set assists.

Weber recorded 15 digs in the match followed by Kampshoff with 10.  Schroeder added nine digs while Dewald had eight.  Haiar had one block.

In the third set, the ladies fell to Irene-Wakonda, 18-25 and 21-25.  Weber led the team in kills with six followed by Moschell with four.  Kampshoff, Peighten Wallace and Haiar had one ace each.  Kampshoff tallied 12 set assists.

Weber led the team in digs with 11 followed by Dewald and Haiar with seven.

The final match of the tournament pitted the ladies against Milbank.  The Beaverettes lost to Milbank in two sets, 21-25 and 17-25.  Leading the team in digs was Weber with four followed by Dewald and Haiar with three digs each.  Weber and Wallace tallied two aces apiece.  Kampshoff had 12 successful set assists.

Leading the team in digs was Weber with nine followed by Dewald and Schroeder with eight apiece.  Skylar Holm and Kampshoff added five digs each.
