Hanson girl's cross country team

The Hanson cross-country team traveled to Irene to compete in the Irene-Wakonda Invite on Wednesday, October 6.  

 In the varsity girl’s division, the Hanson girl’s team won the meet with five of the girls placing in the top 20. Taziah Hawkins placed highest with a first place finish (20:54) followed by Cadence Jarding in sixth place (21:43). Others placing were Reese Marek, 11th (22:14); Alyssa Moschell; 14th (22:32); Eliza Oltmanns, 15th (22:37); and Erin Dewald, 29th (24:39). 

In the varsity boy’s division, Carson Ferry placed highest with a ninth place finish (19:47). Anthony Geist placed 18th (20.5) while Will Jarding finished in 21st place (21:02).  Jason Porth finished in 31st place (21:01).

In the junior high boy’s division, Rhett Marek crossed the finish line in 10th place (14:18). Braxon Dejong finished in 21st place (15:38) followed by Dawson Huber in 28th place (16:33). Nash Hofer crossed the finish line in 34th place (19:03).

The next meet for the cross country team will be the Region Cross Country Meet in Beresford on Thursday, October 14.
