Fans in attendance for the Dig Pink Night for volleyball purchase raffle tickets for eight baskets that were donated for the cause by the Hanson volleyball players and Jessi Kampshoff.

On Thursday, October 14, the Hanson high school volleyball team held their annual Dig Pink night during their match against the Ethan Rustlers.

To raise awareness for those who have or are currently battling cancer, the Hanson Chapter of the National Honor Society organized a raffle of baskets and a 50/50 drawing. The baskets were donated by the volleyball players and Jessi Kampshoff.  Winners of the baskets were: Candise Jarding, Grateful for Coffee basket; Isayah Price, Pink Spa Day; Amber Bartscher, Pumpkin Carving Kit; Adisyn Wingen, Movie Popcorn Night; Rebecca Arend, Yum Waffles basket; Hadlee Schoenfelder, Barbie basket; Elliot Kayser, Remote Control Car.

Winner of the 50/50 drawing was Rebecca Arend.  Arend received half of the money while the remaining half will be donated to a local family currently battling cancer.

As part of the evening, the Hanson volleyball players recognized family and friends who are currently fighting cancer or who have survived cancer.  Players handed out flowers to those special family members and friends.
