Four Hanson students were part of the Elementary Honor Choir that was held on Saturday, October 30, in Rapid City.
Elementary Honor Choir is a choir of fourth, fifth and sixth grade students who are chosen by recorded audition. Only teachers who are members of South Dakota Music Education Association may audition their students for the Honor Choir. Hanson students who were selected to take part in the event were: Ella Jager, Tacey Weber, Vayda Hofer, and Taylor Kayser.
A well-known clinician whose expertise lies in working with young voices is brought in to work with the selected choir.
The Hanson students were among 140 students from across the state that performed at a concert on Saturday, October 30, for SDMEA conference attendees and parents.
