Hanson School District

On Saturday, December 4, the Hanson junior high boys basketball team played in the JH Boys Cornbelt Conference Basketball Tournament in Freeman. Overall, the Beavers earned third place.

The young Beavers started off the morning strong with a win against the Canistota Hawks, 40-15. Radek Jarding led the team in points with 12. Conner Endorf followed with seven points while Cole Dewald and Nate Wilber chipped in six points apiece. Carter Endorf and Brayden Bahmuller tallied two points each

The Viborg-Hurley Cougars outscored the Beavers in the second game, 10-43. Leading the Beavers in points was Dewald with five followed by Alex Tuschen with three points.  Jarding added two points.

The boys faced the Freeman Flyers in the third place game. The young team performed very well, winning 23-19. Co. Endorf and Jarding racked up eight points apiece. Dewald added five points while Ca. Endorf cashed in two points.

The team’s record after the tournament stands at 9-4.
