The Hanson Beavers faced the Howard Tigers on Tuesday, January 19, in Alexandria.  They got beat with a score of 41-50 in favor of the tigers. The Beavers now fall to 5-3 on the season.

The Beavers were outscored by the Tigers in the first quarter, 16-9, and in the second quarter, 15-8. Halftime score was 31-17 in favor of the Tigers. The Beavers came out in the third quarter and outscored the Tigers 13-7.   With almost even scoring in the fourth, the Beavers were unable to overcome their deficit to the Tigers.  Final score was 50-41 in favor of the Tigers. 

The Beavers now fall to a 6-3 record.

The Beavers shot 13-of-33 for 39.4% from inside the arch; shot three-of-13 for 23.1% from beyond the arch; six-of-11 for 54.5% from the free throw line.  

Leading the Beavers was Noah Price with 14 points and six rebounds. Luke Haiar had seven points with four assists. Kade Waldera, Jackson Jarding, Keaton Weber, and Ethan Cheeseman added four points each. Cheeseman added five rebounds. 

The junior varsity won over the Tigers with a score of 27-20. The leading scorer was Isayah Price with 13 points. Sutton Dewald added six points while Hadley Wallace had four. 

The JV remains undefeated on the season with a 9-0 record.

The Beavers host Canistota on Thursday, January 20.
