Hanson School District

On Tuesday, January 18, the Hanson girls basketball team took on the Howard Tigers at home in a double header with the boys basketball team. 

The varsity defeated the Tigers, 53-37, with Annalyse Weber leading the team offensively with 12 points.  Following close behind was Karlie Goergen with 11 points and four assists. Erin Dewald had eight points. 

Also contributing to the team was Eliza Oltmanns with five steals and Vanessa Doyle with four. Alyssa Moschell led the team in rebounding for the game with seven.

Overall, the team shot 37% (20/54) from the field goal; and 50% (6/12) from the free throw line.
 The Beavers win advanced their record to 8-3.

The junior varsity team had a commanding win against the Tigers with the final score 43-18. The two top scorers for the game were Paige Endorf and Kylie Haiar with 11 points each. Cadence Jarding had seven points followed close behind by Eliza Oltmanns and Avery Moschell with five points apiece. Jarding marked five assists in the game.

Leading the team defensively was Jarding and Av. Moschell with four steals each. Haiar was the top rebounder with seven rebounds followed by Oltmanns with five.  Erica Endorf grabbed four rebounds. Also contributing to the team was Jarding with five assists. 

The JV’s new record is currently 11-1.

 The C team dominated Howard, 33-12, with Taziah Hawkins leading in points with 15. Also helping the team was Kendra Endorf with eight points and Olivia Kayser with five points. 
The C team record is now 3-3.
