Hanson School District

On Friday, January 21, the Hanson Beaverettes traveled to Canistota to take on the Hawks. Both the junior varsity and varsity teams came home with a win over the Canistota Hawks.

The varsity team blew the Canistota Hawks away, ending the game with a 42 point lead. The final score was 70-28. Leading the team in points and rebounds was Annalyse Weber with 21 points and six rebounds. Alyssa Moschell contributed 12 points along with five rebounds. Other top scorers included Erin Dewald with 10 points and Vanessa Doyle tallied nine points.

As for steals and assists, Weber dished out five assists and added six steals. Karlie Goergen added four assists. 

Together, the team shot 30-for-47 from the field (64%); and two-for-three (67%) on the free throw line. 

The varsity record advanced to 9-3. 

The JV ended the game with an outstanding 40 point lead with the final score, 48-8. Leading the team for the win was Eliza Oltmanns scoring 12 points followed by Peighten Wallace with nine points. Also adding to the score was Paige Endorf with eight points along with Avery Moschell tallying seven points. Kylie Haiar added six points. 

For rebounding, Oltmanns and Wallace each contributed two rebounds apiece.
Erica Endorf passed six assists followed by Cadence Jarding with four assists. Av. Moschell and Oltmanns added three assists each. 

The JV team’s record improves to 12-1.
