With fall sports beginning practice and the regular school session soon to be underway soon, it is important to make sure all families (PK-12) are directly made aware of Hanson School District voluntary student accident insurance. The insurance is not required to purchase, and is an opportunity provided for families by the school. You may click on the link below to access the Insurance forms if you choose to participate.

Hanson School District Patrons,
For the past several years, the Hanson School District has proudly offered Beaver's Island, an after-school program that provides care for students in grades PK–5. What began as a four-day-a-week program was expanded to five days a week in response to the needs of our families.
At this time, we are experiencing a staffing shortage that may impact our ability to continue offering the program five days a week. We currently need 2–3 additional staff members to adequately support the program. Without additional employees, we may be forced to reduce the number of days Beaver's Island is available.
If you, or someone you know, may be interested in working with our after-school program, we encourage you to contact Ann Bartscher, Beaver's Island Program Coordinator, at ann.bartscher@k12.sd.us or 605-239-4387 for more information.
Our goal is to continue providing this valuable service to our students and families five days each week. We appreciate your support in helping us spread the word and identify individuals who may be interested in joining our team.

Welcome Home, State Softball Team! Our team will be arriving back in Alex around 7:40 PM and will be driving down Main Street. If you'd like to help welcome these ladies home and celebrate their outstanding season, come line Main Street and show your support! Congratulations on a great season!

The girls lose a hard fought game 12-7 to the #1 seed Castlewood. We will play for 3rd place tomorrow at 2:00.

What a WIN!!! The ladies scored 6 runs in the bottom half of the last inning to win their opening round game today 11-10!! The will face Castlewood tomorrow in the Semi-Finals.

Congratulations to the Boy's Medley Relay Team on finishing 8th yesterday in SF at the State Track Meet. Stetson Riggs, Jett Jager, Jason Porth and Cole Dewald were the runners. Our Athletes will be competing again to day and tomorrow. Good Luck Girls and Boys!
