The Hanson School Board meeting for November will be held on Wednesday, November 15th at 6:30PM. This is a change from the original set date. The proposed agenda is posted on the west entrance to the school as well as on the District's website.

Congratulations to Brock Tuttle for being selected as the Cornbelt Conference MVP! Also, congratulations to the follow for being selected to the Cornbelt All-Conference football team: Brock Tuttle, Hayden Schroeder, Sutton Dewald, Camden Warnke, Carter Endorf, Stetson Riggs, & Weston Kayser.

Sophomore Taziah Hawkins broke the school record on Monday by serving 33/33 in the match vs Chamberlain. She also tied the school record with 29 points in the match. Congratulations Taziah!!

Parents/Guardians: On Thursday October 19th, school will dismiss at 2:30 to allow fans and families to travel to the FB Playoff Game in Leola. Also this week please remember that on Wednesday the 18th school will dismiss at 12:15 for PT Conferences and Friday the 20th there is NO SCHOOL due to teacher in-service. Thank You

The Cross Country team finished their season today in Canton at the Region Meet. Great job all team members and Congratulations to Eliza for qualifying for the state meet in Sioux Falls next Saturday.

The region XC meet has been moved to Wednesday, October 11th at 1:00. The events will be in the same order as the original schedule. The weather looks much more favorable on Wednesday than Thursday. Thank you for your understanding.

There will be a gymnastics meeting for girls in the 7th-12th grade and their parents that are interested in being apart of the gymnastics team. This will be held on Sunday, October 15th at Core Athletics at 5:20 pm. Core Athletics address is 618 South Rowley Street Mitchell.

Friday (9/29/23) is senior night for Hanson Football, Cheer, and Cross Country. Senior recognition along with their parents will begin at 6:40. During half time the homecoming royalty and Pee Wee/Jr. League Football players will be announced. The Alex. Fire Department is having a tailgate serving chili and hotdogs. Come support our seniors for their last regular season home game.

Due to the recent rains and forecast for Saturday, it was decided to cancel the Platte-Geddes invitational cross country meet that was to be held at Dakota Trails Golf Course east of Corsica. The meet will not be rescheduled.

Event Reminders: The football game will start at 5:00 tonight in Canistota. The X-Country Meet at Corsica tomorrow is Canceled due to anticipated rain in the morning. The HS Volleyball Team is playing at the Pentagon Tomorrow. JH Volleyball is at Wagner tomorrow.
