On Monday, March 17, 2025, Hanson’s 5th and 6th-grade students had the exciting opportunity to attend the Young People’s Concert presented by the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls. The concert provided students with the opportunity to witness a live orchestral performance & served to deepen their appreciation for music and inspire future musicians.

The Elementary Students will be starting their One Book One School activity tonight! At our assembly this morning students were given their books/packets to read with their families. This is the 7th year we have done One Book One School! The elementary staff hopes you can enjoy some time reading with your child/children for the next few weeks! Thank you for supporting this project.
The winners were crowned at the annual Quiz Bowl, celebrating their exceptional knowledge and dedication. Congratulations to all the champions! Thank you to NHS for hosting it again this year.
The Hanson School District in cooperation with the Cornbelt Educational Cooperative and Head Start is pleased to announce a preschool screening scheduled for Wednesday March 26th 2025 for all children ages 3 to 5 years old. The Hanson Boys Basketball Region Game that was to be played Friday has been moved to Saturday at 3:00 pm in Alexandria. The reason is Tuesdays Region games were postponed due to the weather. Hanson will play the winner of the MVP vs Scotland/Menno game which will be played Friday.
This is a SDHSAA event and no passes will be allowed. The cost is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. Come cheer on the Beavers!!
