A HUGE thank you to all of the community volunteers that took time today to come to our school for Freshman Impact. Also thank you to the local communities for your help as well. We hosted over 200 freshman from local schools and had over 50 volunteers.

Hanson JH FB Jamboree

The PEH gymnastics team is going to have a meeting for anyone interested in PEH gymnastics or anyone interested in becoming the team manager. This will be held at Core Athletics 618 South Rowley Street Mitchell, SD on Sunday September 22nd for 7th-12th grade. There will be an optional open gym from 12pm to 2pm, and the parents and athletes meeting at 2pm. Any questions they can contact Jamie by cell 605-359-7162.

The Hanson Student Council has selected the theme for the 2024 Hanson Homecoming Parade to be MOVIES. The Homecoming Parade is scheduled for Friday, September 27, at 12:30 PM on Alexandria main street. If interested in entering a float in the parade, please contact Stephanie Wallace or Roxane Alley, at school, 605-239-4387. Anyone entering a float must fill out a Community Parade Float Entry Form which can be obtained from the Hanson High School office or by clicking the following link below. Hanson is once again providing a weekend Snack Pack Program for eligible students. September 13th will be the first weekend to participate. Please have forms back to school to Dawn Huber by Tuesday September 10th. The program will continue monthly on the first Friday of the month for the remainder of the school year. Our Open House Event is Monday August 19th from 5:30-7:00. The first day of school is Tuesday August 20th with at 12:15 dismissal. Each student and parent will need to sign the Student Handbook and Technology Acceptable Use Form. There will be copies at school for convenience.
